London Financial Remedies Court– correspondence from the President in respect of sitting day allocation

Correspondence and information has been sent out by the President of the Family Division in respect of changes to allocation of sitting days in the London Financial Remedies Court for the remainder if the year to April 2026. The changes will be disappointing and worrying to those practitioners who undertake financial remedy work, and for their clients. We understand that the reason for the changes is to correct a previous over-allocation of sitting days in the London Financial Remedies Court and to prioritise and protect the intended allocation of public law sitting days in the London courts. Private law allocation of sitting days is unaffected. Please click here for the letter and here for further details.
