Somia is an experienced practitioner. She has practised exclusively in family Law since her qualification in 2008. She worked at Children and Families Law Firm for eleven years and then at Philcox Gray before recently joining ITN Solicitors.
Somia specialises in all areas of children law and has experience of advising on a range of issues in this area and has a particular interest in child protection and care proceedings. She has experience of representing parties including parents and children in highly complex proceedings including those involving non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse and radicalisation.
Somia is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. She joined the ALC Executive Committee in 2017 and is a member of the Equality and Diversity and Legal Aid Sub-Committees.
