Sarah is a senior solicitor & team leader at HBPL which provides legal services to a number of local authorities. Sarah is responsible for a team of lawyers providing advice to children’s services in a local authority in Greater London and advises on all areas of law associated with this. Prior to working in a local authority, Sarah was in private practice for 7 years representing parents and children, and has been a member of the Children Panel for some years.

Sarah is responsible for running complex cases which have included serious injuries to children; child death and sexual abuse. Sarah has been involved with a number of cases involving reporting restriction orders which necessitated liaison with representatives of the media directly and also via the communications office.

Sarah is the legal advisor to internal panels, along with the Safeguarding Children’s Board and the Serious Case Review Panel when consideration is given to undertaking a serious case review. Sarah also provides advice on policy and procedure in a variety of areas, and provides bespoke training for the client department on a regular basis.
