Mary qualified a solicitor in 2018 and is an associate solicitor in the care department at Miles & Partners LLP, where she is also on the management team. Mary is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Child Abduction and Public Law Children. She specialises in public and private children law, with particular expertise in care proceedings. She has developed a reputation for complex care cases where there is a disputed scientific or medical issue and in cases where a parent has been accused of fabricating or inducing illness. Mary primarily acts for parents but also represents other family members who may be applying for Special Guardianship of a child.
Mary was the winner of the Association of Lawyer for children ‘Outstanding Newcomer’ award in 2019. She has been named as a Leading Individual in the Legal 500 and has a number of reported cases, which relate to public law children matter heard in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
